This little feather-light petty could serve as a delicate slicer or paring knife.  Excellent for trimming meats and fish.  
 
This blade is made (partially) of carbon steel and will rust/discolor if not properly cared for.  This particular blade is also "blacked out" with a dense patina.  Keep in mind this tone may change and evolve over time when cutting acidic or other reactive foods.
